Let's get belly fat busting...

The bad news...

You can't spot reduce fat from just one place, the body just doesn't work like that.

As our ovaries stop producing our estrogen, the body tries to store more fat around the stomach as it releases a small of amount of estrogen. It's the body's back up plan, but not one any of us much like.

The GOOD news…

You CAN trigger your body to behave more like it did  BEFORE our estrogen started declining, by doing the exercises in this video! Which trigger fat burning all over the body including our belly  fat.

HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training
 

PLYOMETRICS - Explosive jumping moves
 

WEIGHT LIFTING - Lifting weights
 

BODY WEIGHT - Using your own body as resistance, e.g. press ups
 

We also lose muscle mass as we get older. Muscle is a great fat burner, it demands a lot of energy just to exist. When we build more lean, toned muscle, the body will use our food calories  to support the muscles rather than storing it in our fat cells. The intensity of the HIIT and PLYOMETRICS boost our metabolism and actually switch on our fat burning hormones.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Hand held weights (or tin cans/water bottles)

LEVEL: Suitable for all as I give modifications for each exercise

IMPORTANT! PLEASE use the lower modifications I give if you're new to exercise, and DON'T add in any jumping if you have any back or joint issues.

Stop and rest whenever you need to, and take everything at your own pace.
